It is the beginning of all other relationships and you must work on protecting and supporting your space in order to form healthy relationships in other areas of life. As you practice dealing with members of your family, you learn how to be respectful, you learn how to be responsible, and you learn how to set boundaries.
Respect for rules and learning to treat members of your family with respect is a basic part of building relationships. Your home and environment and the people around your require care. Being responsible about your self-care, taking care of your belongings, and helping the household run smoothly are all parts of learning responsibility. |
